Adult Allies Challenge, Scouts for SDGs Challenge

This activity is designed for adult leaders working with children aged 10 and under. Through fun, hands-on experiences, young participants will learn where food comes from, how it is produced, and why reducing food waste matters.

Food grows in gardens and forests. It is fished from oceans and rivers. It is hunted or gathered from the land. But most of our food comes from farms. Some are small, some are large, but all require work and care. It takes land, healthy soil, the right weather, skills, labor, and resources to produce the food we eat.

These activities help children understand that effort and encourage them to take simple actions to reduce food waste and appreciate the value of food.
Available in English, Spanish, and Mayan.
