Become a young food hero!
Food grows in gardens and forests. It is fished from oceans and rivers. It is hunted or gathered from the land. But most of our food comes from farms. Sometimes these are small family-run farms or community gardens, and sometimes they are large commercial farms that stretch as far as the eye can see.
It takes land, healthy soil, the right weather, skills, labor, money, and resources to produce the food we eat. To understand how much effort goes into growing food, let’s try to grow our own!
