Turn your JOTA-JOTI experience into real-world impact
During JOTA-JOTI, you learn new skills, meet Scouts from across the world, and explore how technology can connect and empower us. This year, it’s time to take action - by making a difference in your own community.
Scouting is about doing, not just discovering. With the new skills and ideas from JOTA-JOTI, you can create positive change in your communities. Gather your Scout group, pick an issue that matters to you, and make your mark!

Need inspiration? Try these project ideas:
Here are some ways you and your Scout group could turn inspiration into action:
- Organise a community/nature hike with your scout troop and collect litter along the trail to help keep the areas clean. Engage in brief conversations with passersby about the impact of plastic waste and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling. Share the lessons you've learned from the activity, Ocean Academy: Plastic Pollution Series (include link to activity).
- Host a community meet-and-greet where participants bring small recyclable materials. During the session, discuss the harmful effects of plastic pollution and collaborate to create a community mural or art piece made entirely from recycled items—showcasing creativity and environmental responsibility.
- Boost the Health and Well-being of your local community! Offer a weeklong fitness/exercise session and monitor their Health and Wellbeing meter. At the end of the session, compare how their well-being improved and share the results with the community to highlight the importance of taking care of yourself.
- Create a podcast, radio broadcast, or short video promoting dialogue, inclusion, and youth participation in decision-making.
