Media Computation is about using pictures, music, text, and videos to create exciting, beautiful, and unique projects. While making cool things, you will also learn programming skills and how to work with large sets of data.

Grand Gestures - Storytelling with AI
We all use gesture recognition every day, often without even noticing it. From waving our hands and swiping across our phones to zooming in on a picture with two fingers, these small moves have become natural to us.
In this workshop, we will take single-stroke gestures and turn them into something even more exciting. Using AI in creative ways, you will bring your own stories to life with animations. This is your chance to combine coding, creativity, and a touch of magic from the technology you use every day.

They’re the volunteers who keep Kandersteg International Scout Centre running, and have been for more than 100 years! Thanks to them, every Scout and guest can experience the spirit of the Permanent Mini Jamboree.
Join this live session to meet some of the Pinkies, hear where they come from, what life in the Swiss Alps is like, and get a glimpse into their daily adventures at the World Scout Centre.
Digitalise Youth Café
Join us for Digitalise Youth Café, where Scouts from around the world connect to discuss the importance of digital skills, promote civic tech solutions and create awareness about online civic engagement among young people.
During this 1-hour session, you’ll meet peers from different countries, discover knowledge and tools to navigate the digital ecosystem, protect yourselves from surveillance, and fight against disinformation. The session will also bring together trained national peer educators to share their experiences, lessons and plans.
This activity is part of the Digitalise Youth Project, powered by Digital Democracy Initiative, which aims to address the shrinking civic space and rampant disinformation in the Sahel and neighbouring regions, by empowering local youth and civil society organisations.
