Scout leaders, take your scouts on a nice nature walk, and discover a variety of beautiful Minecraft sights, animals and plants. There are a few different routes to choose from - even under water - and we have activity sheets available to practice nature observation. (Who saw the cow stuck in the tree? There is a single blue flower, can you find it?)

We are collecting this year’s best stories for the following topics:

• A greener world: Your best nature experience in scouts
• Scouting is…: Describe a typical Scouting activity in your country/location that you think in not done in other places in the world.

Books will be approved by moderators and published for the world to read.

Climb our birdwatching tree and get a looking glass: Where are the birds? Did they move from their location from last year? How many are there? And wait, is that… a chicken in that tree?

In Minecraft orienteering, just like in the real world, you try to find your way across difficult terrain, all the while following a trail of markers (or candles). In addition to last year’s courses, we are adding a few that require different skills: Reading a real orienteering map, navigating with the sun, and navigation on water.

Have you heard of, or do you remember the suspension bridge that was so hard to find last year? Well, if you don’t, there is an opportunity to find it again this year! Plus, in similar fashion, we have challenging parkour courses on our pirate boats and a really, really high diving board with a refreshing pool below! You just have to figure out how to get up there….

Anybody can build something neat in Minecraft, but can you take an existing design and turn it into something else? In the spirit of reusing and recycles, we are looking for the best creative re-use of a predefined set of blocks - can you turn a car into a house? A chicken into an airplane? A bridge into a spiral staircase?

Roses? Tulips? Lilies? Does orange go with blue? What about some decoration? Scouts can freely design a small flower bed, visible for the world to see. The best designs will be transported to the hub world to be prominently displayed!

Sometimes, it can be difficult to figure out what we can do to look after our Ocean, but this activity will allow you to explore what you are passionate about and what you are good at, and show how the two can combine to create your superpower for the Ocean.

This activity invites Scouts to reflect on what democracy means to them personally and how it might develop over time. It also encourages critical thinking about the role of democracy in shaping society.

This activity focuses on how social media can be used as a platform for democratic debate, education and activism. 
The scouts must create a post or video that conveys an important democratic message. The purpose of the activity is to show how social media can influence society and politics.

In addition, the scouts learn to formulate a clear message. But also to understand that different platforms convey messages differently. Difficulty level is easy.

These activities help children understand that effort and encourage them to take simple actions to reduce food waste and appreciate the value of food.

Scouts of any age (preferably >10 yr) are encouraged to explore the invisible sea of radio communications all around us. No license or expensive equipment is required: it is possible to listen to radio signals by means of free web-controlled receivers. Some communications are made by scout radio stations. The challenge is to find scout communications, identify at least 10 radio scout stations and log the maximum number of information (radio callsign, frequency, time, but also the name of the scout group, etc.).

Ever heard of SSTV communications? After installing an app, you'll discover how an image can be turned into a sound, transferred by radio and then back-converted into an image again! You'll share the images you hear in a padlet moderated by the WOSM JOTA-JOTI team.

Every Scout organization has structures that shape how decisions are made. Some of these open doors for young people, while others – intentionally or not – create barriers. This space is for you to reflect, share, and reimagine.

Scouting is full of inspiring moments where young people take the lead and make a difference. This Padlet is a space to celebrate those stories and share them with the world.

This interactive quiz places the participant in the shoes of a young Scout navigating their NSO’s governance structures. Through storytelling, dilemmas, and reflection points, adults will explore how systems and adult attitudes can either block or support youth involvement in decision-making.
